Cultural Awareness is the center of communication. It involves the task of standing back from ourselves and becoming aware of our cultural values, beliefs, and perceptions. Misunderstandings form when we use our own meanings to make sense of other peoples reality. Misinterpretations happen mostly when we need awareness of our own behavioral rules. Cultural Awareness becomes central when we have to include people from other cultures. Cultural Dynamics are what teaches us about how to keep conflict from happening between different Cultures. Becoming aware of our Cultural Dynamics is a hard thing to learn and takes time.[1]
